Big 3 Bargaining

Big 3 bargaining – with Sodexo, Aramark and Compass – is underway this fall.

At the end of March 2008, delegates representing the 3,500 HEU members who work for the Big 3 attended a two-day bargaining conference. At the conference, they elected their bargaining committees, learned more about the Living Wage Campaign, and discussed bargaining priorities.

Over the summer, HEU bargaining committees met to prepare for bargaining and discuss issues such as benefits, pensions, health and safety, seniority and wages.

The bargaining committees represent HEU members who work in housekeeping and food services at 75 different sites in the Lower Mainland, from Pemberton to Chilliwack, on Southern Vancouver Island, and the Sunshine Coast.
