International Solidarity
Workers in many countries around the world risk intimidation, violence and even death for active membership in a trade union.
HEU’s International Solidarity Committee is committed to forming links between Canadian workers and others in the international community to defend workers’ rights, challenge corporate exploitation, and put an end to global sweatshop work environments.
Through CUPE’s Global Justice Fund, we are working with North, Central and South American trade unionists, involved in health care, to promote health care as a fundamental human right.
And as an active member of CoDevelopment Canada, we support a variety of solidarity projects in Latin America aimed at maintaining publicly-funded education, empowering women and promoting workers’ rights.
Take action right now!
Workers in every corner of the globe are under attack. In just seconds, you can use the internet to support trade unionists who need your help.
