Affiliations

HEU is an affiliate of the BC Federation of Labour which represents 470,000 trade union members in more than 1,100 union locals in every sector of the BC economy.

HEU is the BC Health Services Division of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. CUPE is Canada’s largest union with more than half a million members in health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines.

Through CUPE, HEU is part of the three million member Canadian Labour Congress.

And many HEU locals are also affiliated with local district labour councils, which represent the Canadian Labour Congress in your community.

HEU is a member of the BC Health Coalition, a medicare advocacy organization representing a range of seniors’, women’s, labour and other community groups.
