On June 21, 60 LPN leaders and activists from across B.C. gathered at the HEU Provincial Office to discuss the future of their professional practice.
With government set to make significant changes to the regulations governing LPNs in B.C., these workplace leaders and activists wanted to learn more about how those changes could impact their practice in the future.
One of the guest speakers at the day-long conference was Teresa Bateman, Director of Professional Practice at the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. She provided LPNs with some important insights into how regulatory changes have enhanced LPNs' role and utilization in Alberta's health care system.
This video captures some of the highlights of her presentation.
