Patient Care Technical subcommittee mandate is to:
- Increase visibility and promote greater membership awareness of and invol
vement in issues and actions relating to our various fields; - Broaden discussion of issues and specific challenges within the leadership and membership of the HEU;
- Motivate and mobilize technical workers to become involved in our union and the issues that affect their jobs and future in public health care;
- Provide background information and analysis to the Provincial Executive on issues related to the Patient Care Technical fields;
- Make recommendations to the Provincial Executive around policy and actions related to the Patient Care Technical fields;
- Develop action plans and undertake activities as approved by the Provincial Executive;
- Support the objectives and priorities of the Strategic Directions document adopted by the Biennial HEU Convention;
- Support and promote priorities identified at the Patient Care Occupational Conference;
- Promote a greater understanding of the public at large of the vital, professional roles and duties of all members in the Patient Care Technical fields; and
- Promote the continuation of a unified Patient Care Technical team within HEU.
