Federal Election 2008

As the October 14 federal election approaches, it’s more important than ever that Canadians make their voices heard. In British Columbia, the Hospital Employees’ Union encourages members to vote for candidates in their ridings who:
  • Defend public services.
  • Support quality, public health care.
  • Oppose privatization schemes, including public-private partnerships (P3s) and the contracting out of public services.
  • Protect our environment.
  • Advocate for family-supporting, living wages for all workers.
So, on October 14, exercise your democratic right and vote. Every ballot counts.
