Health care workers hold rally in New Westminster on Friday

With one week left before contracts for 60,000 health care workers expire, unions say bargaining is at a critical stage

With little more than a week left before collective agreements expire for 60,000 health services and support workers, health care unions will hold a rally in New Westminister to draw attention to the important issues that remain on the bargaining table.

The rally is organized by HEU members at Foyer Maillard, a long-term care facility in Coquitlam. The front-line workers at this facility are pressing for wages and benefits that are on par with other health care workers in the province.
