HEU takes fight against privatization, seniors’ care cuts to Vancouver’s west side Tuesday

News release

Hundreds of front-line health care workers will gather in front of a privately owned but taxpayer supported west side nursing home where housekeeping, laundry and food services staff have been replaced by low-waged contract employees and 23 care aides have been given notice that they’ll face the same fate.
