Scholarships and Bursaries

Every year HEU’s Provincial Office and several union locals make about 20 bursaries available to HEU members, their children and spouses, including common-law and same-sex partners.

The bursaries are tenable at any post-secondary educational institution and are awarded to students who need financial assistance and can demonstrate satisfactory academic standing.

Bursary information and applications for the 2008-2009 academic year are now available.

Mail applications to our Provincial Office at 5000 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, B.C. V5J 5M3, or fax to 604-739-1510. Deadline is August 6, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Scholarships and bursaries range from $350 to $1,000 and are administered by a bursaries committee under the direction of HEU’s Provincial Executive.
