Chris Allnutt, secretary-business manager of the Hospital Employees’ Union, will be at St. Paul’s Hospital at 10:30 a.m. to comment on deputy minister Lee Doney’s factfinding efforts as health care workers begin the fourth day of a province-wide strike.

Health unions met with Mr. Doney last night and told him that they are prepared to bargain hard and are committed to achieving a negotiated settlement for their 43,000 members across the province — the first in the hospital and long-term care sector since the B.C. Liberal government was elected.
