Chris Allnutt, secretary-business manager of the Hospital Employees' Union, will be available for comment on the provincial budget to be tabled Tuesday.

"The premier, along with the health and finance ministers, announced a significant lift to health care spending last Thursday," says Allnutt. "It's a priority that reflects British Columbians' commitment to a strengthened public health care system."
The HEU represents 44,000 front-line health care providers who work in B.C.'s hospitals, continuing care facilities and in community health and social services.
