As the Hospital Employees’ Union prepares for the next round of public sector negotiations, the union is hosting bargaining conferences for the facilities, community health and community social services sectors.
The multi-union Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) – which includes about 1,500 HEU community social services members – will hold a bargaining conference on April 23 and 24 in Victoria. The deadline for submitting bargaining demands, hotel accommodations and credentials is Thursday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m.
About 2,200 HEU community health workers are covered by talks in the multi-union Community Bargaining Association (CBA). Their bargaining conference is May 8-9 at HEU’s Provincial Office in Burnaby. Bargaining demands, hotel accommodations and credentials are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29.
And the multi-union Facilities Bargaining Association (FBA), which covers the majority of HEU members, will hold their conference May 22-24 in Richmond. Deadline to submit bargaining demands, hotel accommodations and credentials is Thursday, March 22 at 5:00 p.m.
Please remember that all credentials and bargaining demands must be signed by both the local chairperson and secretary-treasurer. Original credentials must be mailed or couriered to the Provincial Office. No faxes or emails accepted.
How to submit materials
All submissions must be received – by the designated deadlines – at the HEU Provincial Office, 5000 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, B.C. V5J 5M3.
Bargaining demands and hotel accommodation forms may also be received by fax at 604-739-1510, but please do not duplicate the request with both a fax and a hard copy sent by mail.
FBA bargaining demands may also be emailed to jpaquette@heu.org. FBA hotel accommodation forms may also be emailed to cklein@heu.org.
CSSBA and CBA bargaining demands and hotel accommodations may also be sent by email to jcruz@heu.org.
HEU is the lead negotiator for the FBA, while the BCGEU leads the CSSBA and CBA tables.
