HEU pharmacy members not subject of current LM consolidation talks
Pharmacists represented by the Health Sciences Association were informed today of consolidation discussions that will impact about 425 HSA-represented pharmacists in Lower Mainland health authorities.
This information was also distributed to many HEU members who work alongside these HSA members in pharmacy services, which may be causing some confusion.
Please note that these discussions do not pertain to HEU members in pharmacy services.
Eventually, as part of the health authorities’ plans for pharmacy consolidation, there will be renewed discussions between HEU and health employers about the potential impacts of consolidation on HEU members working in pharmacy services.
But at this time there are no ongoing discussions and none have been scheduled.
Members in pharmacy services will be notified as quickly as possible if the situation changes.
