Honouring nurses during National Nursing Week

Nurses are a critical part of the patient care team.

In honour of National Nursing Week, we salute all HEU nurses for the dedicated professionalism and extraordinary caring they bring to health care’s frontlines.

Nursing Week is a time to pause, reflect, appreciate and honour their tireless efforts and the important roles they have in B.C.’s health care system.

We are proud to represent hundreds of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs), working in B.C.’s residential care homes, supporting seniors and others who require round-the-clock care.

HEU has had a long history of advocating on a wide range of nursing issues that reaches back to our earliest beginnings, more than 70 years ago.

As a division of the Canadian Union of Public Employees’ (CUPE), HEU also stands with tens of thousands of nurses across the country to mark National Nursing Week. You can read CUPE’s salute to nurses here.

On behalf of our entire membership, we thank all HEU nurses for their efforts to provide patients and residents with quality care.
