OH&S training needs assessment survey for long-term care workers

SafeCare BC, the new health and safety association for the long-term care sector in British Columbia, wants front-line care workers’ feedback on occupational health and safety training.

In consultation with stakeholders and unions, including HEU, the scope of the confidential survey – conducted by the independent firm Howegroup – includes a thorough assessment of OH&S training, education and resources available to the long-term care sector.

The goal of the short online survey is to get workers’ input on the method and types of OH&S training they feel is necessary to perform their jobs safely and effectively.

HEU encourages members in our long-term care (residential/extended care) work sites to complete the confidential survey. Participants will also be eligible to win one of two $50 gift cards for Indigo Books.

To take the survey, go to SafeCare BC’s website.

For more information, visit SafeCare BC or contact Howegroup representative Wynona Giannasi.

The survey will remain open until February 3, 2014.
