Revised wage schedules for facilities subsector now available

Schedules reflect impact of government-imposed 11 per cent wage rollback and pay equity adjustments on both hourly and monthly salaries

NEW WAGE schedules reflecting for hospital and long-term care workers that reflect both government imposed wage rollbacks and pay equity adjustments are now available at or from your HEU local.

This new schedule includes hourly and monthly wage rates and reflects both the 11 per cent wage rollback imposed by government and implemented effective May 1 and pay equity adjustments that are retroactive to April 1.

Also available is a revised schedule of pay equity adjustments effective both April 1, 2004 and April 1, 2005. This revision includes corrections made to the Biomedical Technologist benchmarks and replaces the previous version issued June 8.

Neither schedule includes the impact of the 37.5 hour work week legislated in Bill 37 as it has not yet been implemented.
