Seniors to march on legislature in Victoria, November 26

HEU retirees, parents and grandparents of  EU members encouraged to attend

The Seniors’ Network BC is calling on seniors to attend a mass rally and march on November 26 in Victoria to protest government policies that have negatively impacted the lives and well-being of elder British Columbians.

For Hospital Employees’ Union (CUPE) members that means spreading the word around and encouraging parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends and neighbours who fit the “senior” or “senior-in-training” description to participate.

Details will be posted on the Seniors’ Network BC web site, as arrangements are finalized.

Some transportation options are in the works for the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley and parts of Vancouver Island. Specific travel information will be posted on the Seniors’ Network BC web site as soon as possible.

Volunteers are needed to help the Seniors’ Network BC with the organizing of the event.
