2025 Facilities bargaining
Collective bargaining between the nine-union Facilities Bargaining Association (FBA) and the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC) for a new agreement covering more than 67,500 health care workers across the province began on Feb. 21, 2025.
The FBA collective agreement expired on March 31, 2025. About 60,000 HEU members are covered by the FBA contract.
In preparation for contract negotiations, HEU held a three-day Facilities Bargaining Conference in November 2024.
During the conference, delegates discussed, debated and voted on bargaining proposals (bargaining demands), identified top priorities, and elected a bargaining committee.

A benchmark is not a job description. It is a number of duties, described in broad terms, that represents a level of work and responsibility. A job description is a detailed list of duties required by an employer at a particular facility.
