This hour-long webinar is for HEU local executive members.
In HEU, the local executive is responsible for the selection and appointment of JOHS committee worker representatives, and worker health and safety representatives in smaller workplaces.. We’ll walk you through the process of appointing representatives in your local.
This webinar is hosted by HEU’s health and safety prevention staff, and will cover:
- When is a JOHS Committee required?
- When is a worker health and safety representative required?
- How does a local make appointments?
- Where to find resources, including guides and documents to assist in the appointment process.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. It will be held on Zoom. Each class is limited to 50 participants.
This is an unpaid one-hour educational webinar, and is not eligible for union paid leave. Computer or electronic device with internet access, audio and video is required.
