More than 38,000 HEU members work in publicly-funded acute care hospitals and long-term care homes. They work in more than 270 job categories in every area of health care.
About 75 per cent of HEU members are covered by this agreement. But some HEU members who work in hospitals and long-term care work under other independent agreements in situations where contracting out has occurred, or where facility operators are no longer members of the Health Employers Association of B.C. Please check with your local executive if you're not sure if this agreement applies to you.

After October 24, 2011, copies of the 2010-2012 Facilities Collective Agreement will be delivered to all locals by HEU servicing representatives. At this time, copies for 50 per cent of the membership are being distributed.
