The multi-union Community Bargaining Association (CBA) is scheduled to resume contract talks with the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC) on May 20 and 21 to continue working through non-monetary proposals.

The parties last met over three days in early April.

The CBA collective agreement expired on March 31. All contract provisions will remain in effect until a new contract is negotiated and ratified by the membership.

Additional bargaining dates are confirmed for June 3 and 4, as well as June 9 and 10.

Bargaining updates will follow each set of contract negotiations.

HEU’s community health members are encouraged to keep their contact information updated to stay informed on the bargaining process.

The Community Bargaining Association includes BCGEU (the lead), CUPE, HEU (2,300 members), UFCW, HSA, BCNU, and USW, covering 21,000 workers across the province.
