The Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) will be meeting with the Community Social Services Employers’ Association (CSSEA) on June 22 to try to resolve the policy grievance it filed last month on the significant delays in paying wage increases as negotiated in their new contract.

Covering 19,000 health care workers in nine unions – including about 1,500 HEU members – the contract includes Community Living Services, General Services, and Indigenous Services subsector agreements.

Members have been waiting for their wage increases and retro pay since ratifying their new collective agreement at the end of March.

The CSSBA hopes to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

The newly ratified collective agreement is in effect from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2025.
