The CBA bargaining committee met with the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC) from February 2 to 6. The two sides came close to completing the non-monetary portion of negotiations. However, outstanding items remain, including improvements to occupational health and safety language, clarification on scheduling and improvements to the overtime language.
Negotiations will continue February 17 to 20. During that week, the bargaining committee will work towards concluding the non-monetary items and begin negotiations on monetary issues.
At the CBA bargaining table, committee members Nicole Russell, Lisa Bouma and Donna Zmaeff represent HEU’s community health members, along with servicing representatives Brenda Brown and Tasha Whenham.
