Getting Involved

HEU members are at the center of our union. Together, we are continuously working to build a stronger and more diverse union where members feel confident and ready to fight for improved wages and working conditions, safer workplaces, and social justice in our communities.  

This one-day workshop is for HEU members who are considering getting active in the union or in union-supported campaigns.

In the Getting Involved workshop members will:

• Deepen their understanding of how workers’ rights are won and how we fight for and protect those rights.
• Explore how activists’ interests, strengths and passions create pathways to getting involved in the union and social justice movements.
• Learn about HEU’s structure and how to be more actively involved.
• Increase their awareness of HEU’s history as a fighting union.
