Today, our Secretary-Business Manager (SBM) for the past three years, Meena Brisard, announced that she is resigning from her position at HEU.
Over the December break, Meena had many conversations with her family about her role as SBM and due to her priorities with her family and caring for an ill parent, she advised HEU earlier this year that she would be resigning from her position.
While she was SBM, Meena built on the success of those who came before her by negotiating a historic Facilities Bargaining Association collective agreement, including additional resources to address the impact of wage cuts under the BC Liberals, and in bringing back more than 4,000 workers to the public sector.
