Protecting and promoting human rights is fundamental to building a strong and united union and creating a just society.
This one-day Introduction to Human Rights workshop is open to all members who want to build knowledge on human rights, develop skills to resist oppression and advocate for human rights in their workplaces, unions, and communities.
In this workshop members will:
- Build knowledge of human rights values, principles and regulations protecting human rights in BC
- Identify intersecting human rights issues affecting working people today
- Develop skills to talk about human rights issues with union activists
- Build connections and develop strategies to advance human rights at work and in our communities
