Earlier today the Health Employers Association of BC provided the union with details of a cyber-attack on databases HEABC maintains including for Health Match BC and the Health Care Assistant & Community Health Worker Registry.

Individuals potentially impacted by the breach should receive a notification from HEABC by email or by mail which will include information on what steps HEABC has taken in response to the cyber-attack and data breach.
This data breach potentially impacts a large number of HEU members. The union is monitoring developments closely.
